Status automations

Avoid double booking resources

If you’re using a status column to book resources like meeting rooms and company trucks, you want to avoid double booking them. Use this automation to notify your team there is a booking conflict. Search for "resource in use" in the automation center.

Push to weekday

Then push date to next Friday

Then push date to first Wednesday of next month

Then copy date to another date and push it to next Friday

Then copy date to another date and push it to first Wednesday of next month

Push business days

Then push date number days into the future, skipping Saturdays and Sundays, keeping the time component

Then push date number days into the past, skipping Fridays and Saturdays, discarding the time component

Then copy date to another date and push it number days into the future, skipping no days, keeping the time component

Then calculate the number of hours between start date and end date and write to number column

People automations

Assign updater

Assigns the person who made the change. In the example below the person starts work on a job, and they’re automatically assigned as the owner of the job.

When Status changes to Working on it

Then assign (add) updater as Owner

When Status changes to Working on it

Then assign (replace) updater as Owner

Unassign updater

When Status changes to Review complete

Then unassign (remove) updater from Owner

Avoid scheduling conflicts

If you’re using a people column to schedule work, you want to avoid double booking them. Use this automation to notify your team there is a scheduling conflict. Search for "resource in use" in the automation center.

Notify newly-assigned people

After assigning people to a People column, this automation only notifies the people that were added. With the normal notify people automation, all the previously assigned people will be notified again.
