Get directions to job sites from your calendar

Get one-tap directions to every job site from your monday.com calendar

monday.com already lets you open an item and click the location pin to see a small map preview. It’s useful for confirming you’ve got the right address, but it’s a dead end: a static square with no directions, no nearby search, nothing to share with whoever’s driving. Calendar Plus now links straight from the calendar to a real, functional Apple or Google Maps page — no opening the item first.

What changed

Location columns shown through Information at a glance now render as clickable links, the same way link and email columns already do. Instead of monday’s inline map square, clicking one takes you to a full Apple or Google Maps page: pan it, search nearby, get directions from wherever you are, or share the link with a teammate.

That link also works on a shared or synced calendar. Anyone looking at a calendar you shared outside monday, embedded on a website, or subscribed to from Outlook, Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar can click the location and get the same map, even if they’ve never opened monday in their life.

The link isn’t one-size-fits-all, either. When you’re viewing the calendar in monday, Calendar Plus checks your device and opens the maps app that makes sense for it:

Your deviceOpens in
iPhone, iPad, or MacApple Maps
Android, Windows, or LinuxGoogle Maps

There’s no setting to configure and nothing to install. A technician on an iPhone and an office manager on a Windows laptop can look at the exact same calendar event and each get a link that opens correctly for them.

Why this matters for installers

A small map preview tells you where a job is; it doesn’t get you there. Now, one tap from the calendar opens the same address in a maps app that can actually route you, add a stop for the next job, or reroute around traffic — no opening the item on the board first, no retyping the address into a separate maps app.

It also means the office can finally share a real map, not just an address, with anyone who isn’t in monday: a subcontractor on a shared calendar link, a customer viewing an embedded schedule, or a technician who subscribes to the calendar from their phone’s own calendar app.

Set it up in under a minute

Add a Location column to your board

If your jobs board doesn’t already have one, add a Location column and fill in the job site address for each item.

Show it on your calendar events

Open your Calendar Plus view, click the settings icon on an event to update the events of that date column, and add your Location column under Information at a glance.

Tap to get directions

The location now shows on the event with a 📍. Click or tap it to open directions to that address, on whatever device you’re using.
